We use the data above to see which pages are useful and improve them, to keep the site available and secure, and to restore your photos, take payment and deliver your results. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
User-level and event-level analytics data is deleted automatically by Google once the data-retention period set on our Google Analytics property elapses; aggregate reports remain. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host. Email you send us is kept only as long as needed to answer you.
ks_pv holding a random device ID (kept up to one year) and store, for two days, counters keyed to that ID, to a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address (we do not store the IP address itself) and to the day. A hash of an IP address is still pseudonymous data, not anonymous. The counters hold no photo.KunStudio operates from the Republic of Korea. The providers listed above process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, those transfers rely on the providers' own standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
EU / UK (GDPR): you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal data, object to processing, and request portability. Where we rely on consent (non-essential cookies), you may withdraw it at any time. You may also complain to your national supervisory authority.
California (CCPA / CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; you may also use your browser’s privacy controls.
Korea (PIPA): you may ask to view, correct, delete or suspend processing of your personal information using the contact address below.
Everyone else: we apply the same handling to all visitors regardless of where you are.
This site involves analytics cookies set by Google Analytics. None of them are required for the pages to work — you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the content will still load.
The preview step sets one more cookie, ks_pv (random device ID, up to one year, used only to apply the daily preview limit). If you block it, the limit is applied by IP address and site-wide instead, and everything else still works.
Cookie choice (EEA, UK and Switzerland). If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a banner at the bottom of the page asks for your choice. Google Analytics storage stays off (Google Consent Mode “denied”) until you press Accept; Decline keeps it off. Visitors elsewhere are not shown the banner and Google Analytics runs as described above. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (ks_cc) and in the ks_consent cookie (one year), so every page of the site uses the same choice. You can change it at any time with Change cookie choice. If you decline or withdraw, we delete the Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) already set in your browser. While Google Analytics storage is off, Google may still receive cookieless pings about page views and events (no analytics cookies are set and no persistent identifier is stored in your browser).
This site is not directed at children under 14 (under 16 in the EEA, under 13 in the United States) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, write to the address below and we will delete it.
If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted on the home page.
After you pay, we email you one copy of your results and your order details (payment confirmation, PayPal order number and links to your restored photos). The recipient is the address you type in the optional email field next to the PayPal buttons or, if you leave it empty, the email address of your PayPal account as returned to us by PayPal. We use the address only to send this message and do not keep it in our order records. To enforce a daily limit and avoid duplicate sends we keep, for 90 days, a marker that a copy was sent for the order (it holds a shortened one-way hash of the address, not the address) and, for 2 days, a list of order numbers per address hash. The message is sent through our Gmail account (Google), so a copy stays in that mailbox's sent folder until we delete it; email us to have it deleted. The links point to files hosted by our image provider and may expire. If a copy cannot be delivered (for example during a Gmail outage, or when one address has already received copies of several other orders today), the address and the composed message are kept for up to 7 days so we can resend it by hand, then deleted automatically; nothing is resent automatically.
ks_vid; the referral code in the link you followed may be kept as ks_inbound_ref) and sends it with the product page to KunStudio’s referral endpoint (sajuapp.app). The endpoint combines the ID with your IP address and browser type into a one-way SHA-256 key (the IP address itself is not stored), issues you a referral code and records the code, the key, visits and conversions in a file in the same GitHub Gist. It holds no name or email. You can clear the ID in your browser; email us to have a record deleted.KunStudio operates from the Republic of Korea. The providers below process data outside Korea. These transfers are entrusted processing and storage that is necessary to carry out our contract with you (PIPA Article 28-8(1)3).
